02 Aug Ringgit opens easier against US Dollar
KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened easier against the US dollar today in what was a mild retraction from yesterday’s one-and-a-half week high for the local unit, dealers said.
At 9.02 am, the ringgit was quoted at 4.0450/0500 to the US dollar from 4.0215/0285 on Monday.
A dealer said traders are of the opinion that the non-farm payrolls report to be released on Friday, could elevate the greenback.

It declined against the British pound to 5.3386/3476 from 5.2975/2092 on Monday and weakened against the Singapore dollar to 3.0133/0188 from 3.0009/0066.
The ringgit depreciated against the yen to 3.9537/9597 from 3.9330/9418 and eased against the euro to 4.5187/5251 from 4.4936/4031. — Bernama
