On Friday, 28 June 2013, Symphony House Berhad held its 11th Annual General Meeting at The Saujana Hotel, Saujana Resort, Jalan Lapangan Terbang SAAS, Subang, Selangor from 10am – 11am.
Before the AGM commenced, the Board of Directors, consisting of Tan Sri Azman Yahya, En. Abdul Hamid Sheikh Mohamed, Datuk Khairil Anuar bin Abdullah, Datuk Mohd Omar bin Mustapha and Mr. Tony Foo San Kan partook in breakfast while mingling with shareholders, senior management team and staff.
The AGM was chaired by Tan Sri Azman Yahya as Tan Sri Asmat bin Kamaludin who was the Group’s Chairman for 10 years had resigned on 31 May 2013. Tan Sri Azman placed on record a note of thanks to Tan Sri Asmat, who had provided his unstinting leadership to Symphony House Berhad during his tenure as Chairman of the Board. Tan Sri Azman also acknowledged the attendance of a representative from the Minority Shareholder Watchdog Group (MSWG) at the AGM.
The AGM provided a principal forum for dialogue where shareholders were given the opportunity to pose questions to the Board of Directors and senior management team on the performance and future direction of the Symphony group.
All questions were satisfactorily answered, while suggestions and ideas from shareholders were taken into account in order to improve the company in the years ahead. It was indeed a well attended event which ran very smoothly, making it yet another successful AGM by Symphony House Berhad.
