Kopitiam Day was successfully organised on 7 March 2013 at the R&R on Level 2 between 7:00am – 11:00am. The fundraising event was held in honour of wanting to implement more green initiatives planned for the year.
Delicious breakfast items such as Nasi Lemak, traditional Malay and Nyonya Kuihs, Satay, Roti Jala, and beverages were decoratively placed in various containers and abundantly sold. There were noises, energetic screams and ringing of bells to emulate the bustling scene of a traditional coffee shop.
This charitable initiative managed to raise over RM2,800 in cash where 100 percent of all proceeds from the sale of items will go directly into the company’s efforts to doing more for the planet. The fundraising activity received overwhelming response from everybody at Symphony House. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your excellent support in helping to make this event a great success.
Apart from all green activities that will be going on this month, we are also planning to donate Anlene Gold milk for the elephants at the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, administer tree planting at Zoo Negara and also visiting the Turtle Management Centre in Melaka. Kopitiam Day is slated to make a come-back in order to do more for our Wildlife, Environment and Community. So stay tuned!
