Fire Awareness & Safety Training @ Symphony

Symphony’s organised a Fire Awareness and Safety training session conducted by Jabatan Bomba on 17 October 2012.  This session was for the respective floor Fire Chiefs, Fire Leaders, Fire Marshals, Assistant Fire Marshals and Fire Wardens of Symphony and tenants. They first had a theory session with Superintendent Kobalakrishnan A/L Supramaniam (Head of Public Fire Awareness and Safety Program Branch, Fire Safety Division) on safety measures and fire prevention at the Training Room, Level 2.

In the interesting session with Mr. Krishnan, he showed a simulation video of how an insignificant fire can devastate a living room in less than three minutes. He went on to explain about emergency evacuation, how and what type of fires to fight, on the how, when and what to do to escape in such circumstances and the  importance of knowing fire and its behavior which is essential in avoiding casualties and damage to property. Participants were also shown gory pictures of fire victims.

After the session, the course participants had a practical fire extinguishing session at the ground level. Everyone got a chance to put out the fire and now, our fire marshals and wardens would be ready to protect, save and lead us to safety in case of an emergency.
